Sad but true, I have been working in the background. But it is only in the background. I want to be able to share so much with this lovely community but my heart is heavy with some shenanigans going on in the background here where most cannot glimpse. As an example: The weather is lovely for walks and holiday cheer but unfortunately it isn't as lovely for someone undergoing post-op recovery of a failed surgical trial. I had hoped for a better outcome but alas, twas not to be. So instead, I am looking for the silver lining in not being quite up to adding wonderful posts to this blog and upbeat artistic tutorials because physically, at this time, even typing is a chore. So what will I do in the meantime? I will share someone else's good fortune and some terrific photos I was given permission to share a few weeks ago. Charles Creature Cabinet had a logo contest recently and although I entered I was quite aware that my submission was a last minute sketch that was unpolished, uncolored and crude. Even I knew it wasn't winning material but you do what you can with what you are given and so I submitted the rough sketches anyway. Honestly, I wasn't a bit surprised that someone else won the contest and truly I think it is a terrific winning submission. It is playful, whimsical and showcases the sweet nature of the Fidelia Firefly Faeries to a 't'! Congrats Peggy Reed aka Peggytoes for an adorabiggle winning submission! | And now to show off some of the terrific photos I was given permission to share. They were pumpkin themed in hopes that my pumpkin faerie home would soon follow. Enjoy!: Hopefully my body will soon be more cooperative so I can actually finish the silly mache' pumpkin sitting near my bedside. Cooperative body would also allow me to add more artistic and engaging posts for anyone bravely visiting this blog. Fingers, toes and eyes crossed, right!? |
